FAQ/Insurances
HOW DO I CHECK IN FOR A TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENT?
You will receive a zoom link by email and text the day before your appointment. Please be sure to download the zoom app in order to use the system. Please make sure your insurance will authorize payment for telemedicine. Not all plans will pay for this service.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Intercare Psychiatric Consulting participates in several insurance plans, but it is up to the patient to verify coverage, make sure the visit is authorized, and understand the co-pay amount and deductible amounts. Even though we are listed as a participating provider, you need to be sure we are on the correct plan. We also can provide you with a “super bill” that you can submit to insurance if we are not in your specific network. We will bill our contracted insurance partners but will likely bill you directly until you have met the yearly deductible.
Participating insurance: Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah, Select Health (SelectHealth Care, SelectHealth Choice, SelectHealth Med, SelectHealth Value, and SelectHealth Share), Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators, United Health Care (UHC), Educators Mutual (EMI, EMIA), Cigna, and PEHP.
CAN I JUST PAY IN CASH?

While some providers will charge $350 to $400 for an initial psych — we require a credit card or HSA card to reserve a new patient appointment. $305 for the initial psychiatric assessment. $180 for 20 -30 minute follow-up appointment or for previously established patients. Payments are made through the patient portal.
CAN YOU PRESCRIBE DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY MEDICATIONS?
Yes, our providers can prescribe medications for depression and anxiety. However, please note that we will only prescribe medication after conducting a thorough assessment and determining it is the appropriate course of treatment for you. We take into consideration your medical history, current symptoms, and any other relevant factors before making a decision. Our providers also have expertise in other treatment modalities such as therapy and lifestyle changes, and may recommend those as part of your treatment plan.
